Alan W. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Brown is trained in the latest techniques of refractive surgery. He has invented surgical instruments to make refractive surgery more accurate; these innovations are used by surgeons around the world. Additionally, he has pioneered a new surgical illumination technique which allows the surgeon to better view the eye during surgery. This technique makes the surgery more comfortable for the patient and helps protect the eye from excess light during surgery. Dr. Brown has also invented numerous instruments for cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgery and presents these innovations frequently at national medical meetings.
